Sean Kanan and Wife Michele Dish Details of Their Mediterranean Wedding

Sean-Kanan-Michele-Vega-4TV fans who may cringe at the bad-boy characters Sean Kanan portrays on General Hospital and The Young and the Restless will be happy to learn that, in real life, he’s a devoted family man—and a romantic to boot.

“I was living single in Los Angeles. I had a big house in the Hills, all by myself. Then I met Michele, and she promptly told me she had four kids. So I did what I think any guy would do—I married her! And I have a daughter myself, so now we have this blended Brady Bunch family,” the actor, 46, tells Wedding Day Radio host Erin Brown of his beloved bride, who sat down with him to dish details of their nuptials last summer in Europe.

“We went to this little Italian town called Monte di Procida where I’d shot a film several years ago and became very good friends with the owner of the Al Chiar di Luna hotel,” says Sean, who, as author of The Modern Gentleman: Cooking and Entertaining with Sean Kanan, knows a thing or two about throwing a memorable party. “We had a beautiful wedding overlooking the Mediterranean. We were married by the mayor of the town. Then we went to Sicily for our honeymoon.”

“I ended up wearing, like, six different dresses,” says Michele a producer-director whose big-screen credits include 2011’s My Trip to the Dark Side. “Birgit Müller, a three-time Emmy-winning costumer for The Bold and the Beautiful, did the design work. And Sean wore a suit by Carlo Pignatelli.”

As for favorite wedding gifts bestowed on couple, Sean adds: “One of my Italian friends showed up with this super lightweight luggage. That sounds really silly, but we’d bought a bunch of stuff during out tour of Italy, so we needed it.”

Nia Bakari, BlogTalkRadio host

At 9 years old, Nia Bakari is one of  the youngest hosts on BlogTalkRadio.  She is quite an inspiring young lady and is off to a running start with her show, which launched just this month. Nia was kind of enough to answer a few questions about her program and what’s up next for her.

What’s your show all about?
My show is all about meeting interesting people and learning from them.

How did you decide to start your own show?
My mom and I planned last summer of 2012, but we did not get around doing it till early this year. I learned that you have to have a good idea to have a good show. I want people to know that kids see things differently from adults.

What’s your favorite part about hosting your own show on BlogTalkRadio?
My favorite part about hosting my own BlogTalkRadio show is being able to talk to my guests by just being online or on the phone.

Who have you interviewed so far?
I have interviewed Disney talent, Cameron Goodman, who was my improv mentor, Daniel Hooven, lead investigator of Bio’s Haunted Encounters and Hawaii’s ukulele wonder kid, Aidan James.

Who’s next?
Jeff Kinney, the author of the Diary of a Whimpy Kid, Michelle Borth of Hawaii Five-0 and Atlanta’s upcoming musical duo from All The Two of Us, Maggie Schneider and Riley Duggan.

We’re so excited to see Nia’s show grow.  Be sure to tune in to Nia and Friends.
